The strangest commission I have had was to create a
lavish 50th birthday card/package for Zindzi Mandela
daughter of Nelson. Which came via art directing

The brief was to think outside the box and create a
intriguing and unusual card. The solution was a
bespoke tin box containing a family photographic
booklet and CD containing further imagery, music
and birthday messages of congratulations from
various celebrities. I commissioned the Japanese
street artist Dragon76 to do the cover illustration.
(He then got invited to South Africa to do live graffiti
painting at the actual birthday party and got to
meet Nelson Mandela!)
